The Realm of Ashensörth

Ashensörth is situated in the south of Norlandía. Mid-sized and unremarkable, nothing of note happened in over five centuries in the realm of Ashensörth – that all changed the day King Brathamn II entered the temple of Bahrôc and slaughtered the priests and acolytes for refusing to bless his marriage to two thirteen year old boys. The Sun god was enraged and poured his anger down upon the realm’s capital at the time, Argdönsgate, in the form of searing hot rays of light. So strong was the light that it set wood alight and cracked stone.

The City of Argdönsgate

Argdönsgate was once the capital of the Realm of Ashensörth. A fractured and splintered ruin now exists where a bustling hub of trade and commerce once stood. Such was the Sun God’s fury at his priests being killed and his temple being tore down that he unleashed the power of a thousand suns on the city’s population. Water boiled in the aqueducts and metal melted in the streets as Bahrôc passed sentence on the city.

Spice and wine are the main exports from Ashensörth; from the plantations of Mienna to the vineyards of Lorcassön the resources the realm produces are traded and shipped far and wide. While Ashensörth may not be one of the more militarily competent realms it is certainly one of the most prosperous.

After the fall of Argdönsgate the capital of the realm was moved to Vostarák. Having learned the lessons from the previous rulers the Rackínsfell Royal Family now comply with the every wish of the high priests. It may be King Callausan Rackínsfell who rules the realm but all decisions and laws first must get the approval of the temples.
